Mehmet Selim Güven

Selim obtained his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University in 1995 and an MBA in Finance from Hofstra University, NY in 1997. Selim has started his career in energy in the United States and held various managerial positions till his relocation back to Turkey.

Selim held the Chief Commercial Officer position in publicly held AkEnerji A.Ş prior to becoming ACWA Power's Commercial Director to set up ACWA Power's all electricity and gas markets' operations in Turkey.

Currently, Selim is the CEO and Board member of ACWA Power's Turkish operations. Selim's particular areas of expertise are strategy development, risk management, organizational transformation & governance. Selim chairs International Investors Association's (YASED) Energy Working Group and also holds Board membership roles in Energy Generators Association (EÜD) and Electricity Trading Association (ETD).
