ACWA Power Kırıkkale Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant

The Kırıkkale Combined Cycle Natural Gas Power Plant is located within the boundaries of the Yahşihan district in the Kırıkkale province. The facility is situated approximately 15 kilometers from Kırıkkale city center and about 50 kilometers east of Ankara, contributing to the Turkish electricity system from a strategic location.

With a total net installed capacity of 927.4 MWe, the plant generates electricity using natural gas with high-efficiency combined cycle technology. Featuring a multi-shaft configuration consisting of modern gas turbine and steam turbine technologies, the facility offers high efficiency, operational flexibility, and reliable production capacity.

The power plant is owned by ACWA Güç Elektrik İşletme Ve Yönetim San. Ve Tic. A.Ş., a subsidiary of ACWA Power. Its operation and maintenance (O&M) activities are carried out by NOMAC, ACWA Power’s global O&M company, through Nomac Enerji Üretim İşletme ve Bakım Hizmetleri Limited Şirketi.

Operating under free market conditions, the plant provides reliable and flexible generation capacity to the Turkish electricity market. The electricity produced is traded through bilateral agreements and organized electricity markets (Day-Ahead Market, Intraday Market, Balancing Power Market, and Ancillary Services Market).

The Kırıkkale Power Plant contributes to Turkey’s energy security of supply while operating in accordance with high efficiency and international operational standards.
